Our team is looking for an experienced heavy equipment mechanic to inspect, service, and maintain a wide range of heavy-duty construction equipment. You will be responsible for driving to the job site, inspecting engines and equipment, carrying out services, conducting repairs, and providing routine maintenance to the construction fleet in support of our various construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. core areas of responsibility.

  • Prepare service trucks for planned job tasks onsite or at job sites.
  • Inspect trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
  • Diagnose faults using testing equipment, adjust equipment and replace faulty parts.
  • Repair damaged equipment parts. Welding and cutting experience are highly preferred.
  • Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on all heavy-duty equipment and perform major repair work when required.
  • Consult and communicate with manufacturers technical managers.
  • Report damaged or faulty equipment to management as well as provide supporting documentation.

skills you possess.

  • Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic or minimum of four years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment and vehicles. Vocational training may be considered in lieu of experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
  • Interpersonal competencies that include a drive for results, effective oral communication skills, organization, planning, trust, respect, being dependable and cooperation.
  • Good housekeeping standards and ability to observe safety procedures and report any potentially unsafe conditions to management.
  • Understanding of computer testing technologies

additional requirements.

  • 18 years of Age
  • Able to Pass a Drug Test
  • Legally Eligible to Work in the US
  • If assigned to a government project, US citizenship and clear background check may be required.
  • Must have own transportation to and from jobsite every workday. Excellent driving record required.
