Trip Smith named Vice President of Architecture

We are proud to announce the promotion of Trip Smith to the role of Vice President of Architecture at MEB!

Trip’s journey in the construction industry is a testament to dedication, expertise, and leadership. After spending a decade at a Turner Construction, building a strong foundation in project execution and team coordination, Trip joined MEB in 2007. Over the last 18 years, he performed the roles of Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, and now a leadership position as Vice President of Architecture.

Throughout his career at MEB, Trip has overseen more than 20 architectural projects across our Hospitality, Sports, & Entertainment, and Corporate/Government markets. His ability to manage both design-bid-build and design-build projects with precision has earned him and MEB a reputation for excellence in on-time, on-budget project delivery.

His most notable projects:

– Ocean Beach Club Phase II
– Virginia Beach Municipal Building 1, 2, & 11 Renovations
– Williamsburg Sports and Events Center
– Beachwoods Resort

In his new role, Trip will bring his extensive experience and strong collaborative ethos to lead the architectural markets for our organization. His promotion reflects both his past accomplishments and our confidence in his vision for the future.
