People Strategist/Talent Acquisitionist (Recruiter)

MEB is looking to establish a new People Strategist position for the Human Resources department to manage talent acquisition, retainage, and employee development at our firm. Our most important assets are our people, and we are committed to hiring, retaining, and developing the best construction professionals in the industry. Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing MEB’s Hiring, Retainage and Development Strategic Plan
  • Manage the talent acquisition, recruiting and hiring process
  • Manage and attend college career fairs, high school job fairs, trade shows
  • Work with the Creative Solutions team to develop hiring presentations for career fairs
  • Develop and implement the Employee Career Development Program
  • Work with employees to establish career goals and assist them to achieve those goals
  • Meet with employees on a regular basis to establish, track and assist with goals
  • Lead on-boarding and orientation for new hires
  • Develop a field personnel program that provides career development for field employees and helps to attract new talent for laborers, pipe crews, operators, supervisors, etc.
  • Work with the Creative Solutions team on website and social media HR related items
  • Develop an Employee Recognition Program
  • Coordinates with all departments to facilitate annual employee evaluations and assists with employee career progress
  • Provides advice on training, education, and certification opportunities


  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • 2-5 years of experience in all facets of human resources
  • 2-5 years of experience as a staffing recruiter or similar position in talent acquisition, recruiting and on boarding
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or concentrated education in the field of human resources, or equivalent experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to prioritize and multitask effectively.
