Description

Pile Driver who works on a crew installing concrete piles, steel piles, and sheet piles in addition to other general construction and equipment maintenance tasks.

Job Tasks:
Operation and routine maintenance of pile driving equipment including:

  • Diesel Hammers
  • Hydraulic Hammers
  • Vibratory Hammers
  • Rigging and handling of piles and equipment
  • Operation of jobsite equipment including front end loaders, skid steers, and forklifts
  • Strenuous manual labor
  • Lift and move heavy objects
  • Shovel/pick work
  • Load and unload supplies
  • Remove debris, clean job site area
  • Maintain silt fence and erosion control measures
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervision

  • Reports directly to Foreman or Field Superintendent.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience working as a pile driver in construction industry.
  • Experience driving piles with fixed and swinging leads
  • Knowledge of basic tools, materials, methods, and terminology.
  • Rigging certifications a plus
  • Ability to read plans and evaluate layout
