Our team is looking for a motivated senior project engineer to assist Project Managers with the planning and daily execution of the construction projects. Responsible for maintaining project schedules as assigned by the Project Manager, by managing the process of submittal approvals, coordinating the timely delivery of materials, maintaining schedules and budgets to ensure delivery of successful projects to owners, in the safest manner possible, on time and on budget with the desired level of quality.  This role requires excellent communication skills, as you’ll be assisting senior leadership in coordinating with various project stakeholders, including Project Superintendents, Project Managers, Foreman, and Field Personnel. core areas of responsibility.

  • Perform detailed review of the project documents in search of potential issues, conflicts, and discrepancies prior to the start of construction.
  • Review and evaluate of prime, subcontractor and supplier project submittals.
  • Develop subcontractor and supplier scope of work documents and draft detailed Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
  • Full cycle responsibility for project Requests for Information (RFI’s) and maintain RFI tracking logs, to include updating specs.
  • Responsible for the surveying and layout of construction site elements, maintaining project communications, and reviewing/approving payables.
  • Maintain and file project communications
  • Maintain and track status of the project “red-line” and digital As-Built documents as required per contract requirements
  • Secure and assemble all project closeout materials from subcontractors and suppliers including guarantees, warranties, As-Builts, and Operations & Maintenance Manuals
  • Schedule, coordinate and document of all project equipment start-up, commissioning, performance testing and owner training.
  • Proactively builds and fosters positive relationships with Project Owners, Design A/E’s, MEB team members and our trade partners.
  • Assist with the buyout, submittal approval process, field coordination, and installation of process equipment and piping systems for water/wastewater treatment and other industrial systems.
  • Assist with management of MEB’s self-performed work including sheeting/shoring of excavations, pile driving, underground utilities, cast-in-place concrete, structural/miscellaneous steel, process equipment, and piping systems.

skills you possess.

  • Completion of 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or equivalent combination of technical/military training and/or experience.
  • 3+ years of construction experience with water/wastewater treatment construction and/or heavy industrial construction
  • Technical knowledge associated with water/wastewater treatment construction and/or heavy industrial construction including deep foundations, cast-in-place concrete, piping systems, process equipment, electrical, and controls.
  • Detail and deadline oriented with strong computer, interpersonal skills, and the ability work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong desire to learn and advance in the construction field
  • Travel up to 20%
