2026 Intern Capstone Highlight

The Capstone Tours were the perfect way to wrap up another incredible summer with our interns.

Throughout the MEB Internship Program, interns are immersed in meaningful, hands-on experiences that give them a firsthand look at the construction industry. As the program came to a close, each intern had the opportunity to reflect on their summer and share what their experience at MEB meant to them. It was a great way to celebrate everything they accomplished and the impact they made during their time at MEB.

The capstone tours offered more than just presentations, they gave interns a chance to see the bigger picture. By visiting projects across multiple markets and connecting with teams throughout the company, interns expanded their understanding of MEB’s work while gaining valuable insight into the many opportunities within the construction industry.

Eli Griffin, who spent the summer working on HRSD Tabb Pressure Reducing Station & Offline Storage Facility, shared, “The capstone tours gave us the chance to see projects beyond our own. We have interns working in the corporate offices and out in the field with project managers and superintendents, so everyone has a unique experience. Visiting different jobsites helped us better understand the wide range of work MEB does and gave us a broader perspective on the different markets and teams across the company.”

Ross Gordon, who spent the summer working on SCWWA Wastewater Treatment Plant Screen Replacements, said, “The capstone tour is important because it gives everyone a chance to see what you’ve been working on throughout the summer. Visiting different jobsites gave me exposure to a variety of projects and showed me the different types of work MEB does. It also gave me the opportunity to reflect on everything I’ve learned and recognize how much I’ve grown not just over the course of this summer, but since my internship last year with MEB.”
