Chase Spence Promoted to Project Executive!

We are excited to announce the promotion of Chase Spence, DBIA, CQM-C to Project Executive!

Chase first joined MEB as an intern in 2004 and 2005 before beginning his full-time career as a Project Engineer in 2006. Over nearly 20 years, he has grown into one of MEB’s most trusted leaders, managing major projects, many for Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD), including the Surry Hydraulic Improvements, Nansemond TP ANRI Phase II, and the Nansemond TP SWIFT Facility, among others.

Chase has been instrumental in teaming MEB with other contractors to deliver some of our largest and most complex projects, said David Ervin, President, referencing the ongoing Nansemond Treatment Plant work.

Looking back on his two decades with MEB, Chase shared, “It’s been rewarding to watch MEB grow from my days as an intern to the company we are today. I’m most proud of how our people continue to work together strategically to earn our clients’ trust and respect. No matter our tenure, we all share the same goal — to make MEB an enjoyable place to work while continuing to build our reputation as an industry leader.”

With more than 20 projects under his belt, Chase said one stands out the most for him. “My most proud moment to date was the effort our team gave to help give our client the best product possible on the HRSD Surry Hydraulic Improvements project. The MEB team overcame numerous obstacles and ended up providing the client with a project that has received numerous accolades and awards throughout the country.”

“Chase has led teams through some extremely tough projects. It’s often those projects that you really see what someone is capable of as a manager, employee, and a person outside of work.” Tim Griffin, Vice President Civil & Environmental continued, “Chase can lead through adversity, rally the people around him, grind through, and bring the most positive outcome possible to the challenges that arise around him.”

He consistently delivers successful projects while fostering collaboration and growth within the team. “I’m looking forward to helping MEB continue to advance within the industry, build on our reputation, and develop the next generation of leaders,” Chase said.

Please join us in congratulating Chase on this well-deserved promotion! Our team is in great hands with his leadership guiding us into the future.
