Chad McCann Promoted to Utility Superintendent

We’re proud to announce Chad McCann promotion to Utility Superintendent, a reflection of his hard work and commitment at MEB!

Throughout Chad’s time at MEB, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to hard work, professional growth, and leading by example. His journey from Pipelayer to Foreman and now Utility Superintendent is a testament to his determination and dedication to learning every aspect of the utility construction industry.

Reflecting on his journey, Chad shared that one of his proudest accomplishments has been “starting out as a flagger and working my way up, noticing hard work pays off.” He also points to the 42″ Linestop at the HRSD Tabb Pressure Reducing Station & Offline Storage Facility project as his most rewarding experience, as it took a lot of planning and coordination with multiple companies to successfully complete.

When asked what makes MEB special, Chad highlighted the company’s commitment to its people, sharing, “MEB promotes from within and helps employees grow.” Looking toward the future, he is excited to continue developing his skills and learning every day as he takes on new opportunities and responsibilities.

Wayne Hughes, General Utility Superintendent, has witnessed Chad’s growth firsthand. “Chad came to MEB with only one thing on his mind to work hard and grow within this company. He started off as a Pipelayer with the goal of understanding how to be a Superintendent. I feel like he is there and will continue to grow. Chad’s determination, willingness to learn, and dedication to the work have been impressive to watch.”

As a Foreman, Chad consistently demonstrated the leadership and work ethic needed to support successful projects and teams. Those qualities, combined with his commitment to continuous improvement, have prepared him well for this next step in his career.
