MEB and Clark Nexsen worked with Hanson as a preferred design-build partner to construct this large block manufacturing facility in Ashland, VA. The facility included state-of-the-art equipment and processes that improved Hanson's production ability, while increasing sales and distribution.

Project Details
Design-Build project consisting of a 43,000 SF Block Manufacturing Plant. Construction included reinforced concrete, pile-supported foundations, and a structural slab for a 43’ eave metal building with split face CMU facade. A utility trench system was constructed for installation of power and compressed air system to service equipment. Extensive sitework consisted of storm water detention basin, fencing, approximately 5 acres of paved storage yard and parking, landscaping, and a precast sewage pump station. The office area consisted of a sales/dispatch area and office for plant manager and sales staff.
