Happy Earth Day from MEB! We are excited to celebrate by highlighting our commitment to environmental sustainability and the ways that MEB projects have a positive impact on the environment.
MEB takes great pride in our resiliency projects, which not only support sustainability but also have a positive impact on communities and the availability of clean water. A number of our projects are under HRSD’s SWIFT program, which is an initiative that utilizes highly advanced water treatment technologies to treat wastewater to a high standard that results in clean, accessible drinking water. Other projects like Norfolk Ohio Creek Watershed National Disaster Resilience and Cobbs Creek Reservoir, Dam, and Facilities focus on protecting neighborhoods and communities for years to come.
MEB uses sustainable practices at our jobsites, including the incorporation of green infrastructure, addressing sea-level rise and flooding, and working on resiliency projects that have massive impacts on the environment and the Hampton Roads community.
