MEB Team Conquers NRocks Via Ferrata in West Virginia

A group of MEB employees from the Richmond office recently took on the NRocks Via Ferrata in West Virginia as part of a team-building event.

The Via Ferrata offers a one-of-a-kind, professionally-guided rock climbing experience, covering a mile of fixed-anchor climbing. Over the course of 3.5 to 5 hours, the team ascended 1,085 feet, crossed a 200-foot long suspension bridge that sits 150 feet above the ground, and reached exposed heights of 280 feet.

The climb combined physical challenge with stunning views, making it a memorable day for everyone involved. Team members worked together, ensuring safety by staying connected to the fixed-anchor system and supporting one another along the way. The climb wasn’t just about physical endurance—it highlighted the strong camaraderie and trust within the team.

The Via Ferrata is a popular challenge for both beginners and experienced climbers. With safety briefings, equipment fittings, and guided instruction, the MEB team was well-prepared for the climb. The experience reinforced the importance of communication, teamwork, and mutual support in reaching goals.

Special thanks to Frank Nemet, MEB Regional Safety and Health Manager, for organizing this event, which provided a unique opportunity for the team to bond while pushing their limits. It was a proud moment for everyone who took part in representing MEB in this exciting challenge.
