As a safety leader in the construction industry, our vision allows for all employees to collaborate and maintain a proficient safety culture.

To achieve this vision, MEB maintains, as a firm and fully accepted mission, that our people are out most important asset, and protection of our people is management’s highest priority. Safety Matters is one of our Core Values, and with employee buy-in from the top down we believe we are safer work environments every day. We continually strive towards affirmative control and minimization of risk to the greatest extent possible. We have a responsibility to make the safety of employees our top concern, and we count on employee engagement to contribute towards making our program effective.

MEB believes that successful construction services can be achieved through pre-planning and communication, while building safety into each activity.  Safety can be maintained by following job site safety rules and regulations, along with making sure safety is thoroughly considered before beginning each and every assigned task.

The success of the company depends not only on production and quality, but also how safely each job is performed. There is no job so important, nor any service so urgent, that we cannot take time to work safely.

Safety Training

Safety is never an accident.

At MEB, we are continuously enhancing our “Safety Culture”. This culture begins with MEB corporate officers, project managers and job-site supervisors, and along with regular coaching, is infused to our field personnel. Our full-time Safety Department is responsible for the safety and health of MEB employees, subcontractors, suppliers and the community around our jobsites, but this responsibility is equally carried by all corporate officers, management and line supervision. Our main priority is to ensure that all team members and personnel involved with our projects go home to their families safe and healthy.

MEB will continue to Manage, Educate and Build upon SAFETY, to ensure that we do all that we can do to provide a safe working environment. We have been recognized on numerous occasions for our commitment to safety and we strive daily to improve and strengthen upon this commitment.

Best Level 2 Designation

A safety leader in the construction industry.

MEB is honored to have achieved Level 2 in AGC’s Virginia Building, Safety, Health and Training program, making the firm one of two contractors in the state of Virginia to have received the designation. Achieved through our commitment to our Safety Culture, the accolade is one of several recognitions for our commitment to safety. We strive daily to improve and strengthen upon this commitment.
