Dominique Knight Recognized with Leadership & Service Award from AIA Coastal Virginia

MEB is pleased to share that Superintendent Dominique Knight received the Leadership and Service Award during the AIA Coastal Virginia Design and Honor Awards.

This award recognizes individuals who demonstrate commitment to advancing the architectural community and strengthening local outreach efforts.

Dominique’s volunteer support throughout the AIA Seatack Pop-Up Park initiative played a central role in this recognition. He dedicated many hours to planning, building, maintaining, and delivering the temporary park installation that brought interactive public play space to the Seatack neighborhood. His steady coordination and readiness to assist in any area helped ensure the activation operated safely and efficiently.

The Pop-Up Park initiative creates accessible outdoor environments for learning and engagement. Dominique’s contributions supported AIA Coastal Virginia’s efforts to bring design awareness into the community and provide hands-on experiences that demonstrate the impact of well-planned public spaces.
