Please join us in congratulating Jarod Toler on his well-deserved promotion to Project Manager!
Jarod began his journey with MEB as an intern in 2019 and has quickly become an integral part of the Nansemond ANRI Team. He progressed from Project Engineer to Senior Project Engineer and now to Project Manager. Throughout this time, he has continued to build strong industry relationships and expand his knowledge through various programs and experiences, making him a key contributor to MEB’s success.

During his time at MEB, Jarod has dedicated himself to numerous projects, including the HRSD Nansemond Treatment Plant Advanced Nutrient Reduction Improvements – Phase 2 and the HRSD Surry to Smithfield Hydraulic Improvements & Interceptor Force Main. He says the most rewarding project has been the HRSD Nansemond Treatment Plant Grease Handling Facilities. He recalls, “Although we faced many challenges and delays, it was a great learning experience, and the team all came together to finish the project.”
Jarod’s Senior Project Manager, Chase Spence, DBIA, is confident in his continued success in this new role. He shares, “Jarod is very thorough, gets the job done right the first time, and excels at completing tasks in a timely manner. He has a very calm demeanor that helps him stay focused no matter the challenge, and he’s always willing to lend a helping hand even when he’s busy.”
It’s this positive attitude that has helped Jarod form strong relationships not only within the MEB family but also with our partners and clients during his time at the Nansemond WWTP.
