MEB Concrete Crew – Prime Example of the Benefits of Self-Performing

MEB Crew Showcases Self-Perform Strength on the HRSD Tabb Pressure Reducing Station and Offline Storage project.

MEB is proud to highlight the strength of our self-perform capabilities on the HRSD Tabb Pressure Reducing Station and Offline Storage Facilities project. Our team recently hit a major milestone—topping out the concrete work for the pressure reducing station, a critical step in keeping the project on track.

Our dedicated MEB concrete crew poured approximately 2,300 cubic yards of concrete, ensuring the project stayed on schedule. Their hard work and commitment was celebrated with a well-earned onsite cookout.

The Power of Self-Perform Capabilities

By self-performing key aspects of the project, MEB maintains complete control over quality, efficiency, and scheduling. When it comes to meeting deadlines, no one has a greater stake in success than our own crews. With concrete work in particular, our hands-on approach ensures that suppliers meet their commitments and that every pour meets our high standards.

A Crew That Sees the Big Picture

MEB prides ourselves on having self-perform crews that are made up of well-rounded, highly experienced individuals. “In the case of Bill’s crew, they can successfully install concrete structures, process/mechanical piping, and more. When the same crew is doing all of the above, they’re focused on the big picture—not just installing as instructed, but making sure every step sets up future work for success.” // John Riggins, Senior Project Engineer

A huge shoutout to Bill Guest’s crew for their outstanding work and commitment to excellence on this project! Their expertise and teamwork continue to set the bar high for what’s possible when we self-perform.

The crew includes; Bill Guest – Superintendent, Pablo Olguin – Foreman, Jose Olguin-Alvarado – Foreman, Ignacio Arellano – Finisher, Hector Mendoza – Cement Masons, Juan Olguin-Herrera – Carpenter, Oscar Sanchez – Carpenter, Cory Bevell – Carpenter, and Antonio Singleton – Laborer.
