Project Announcement: Louisa Tech Sites Offsite Utilities

MEB is excited to announce the Louisa Tech Sites Offsite Utilities project.

This project includes the design and construction of a new raw water pump station and forcemain system.

Key features include:

  • One raw water pump station, with independent systems to feed three separate facilities.
  • Ten vertical turbine pumps, including four 100HP pumps, four 75HP pumps, and two 5HP pumps.
  • Dual 1200A electrical services for redundancy.

The pump station will also feature a 15-foot-deep cast-in-place concrete dry well, an insulated precast wall system, and a steel roof system. Additional components include surge valves, process piping, and appurtenances. The project incorporates eight 3-ton AC split systems with control panels, unit heaters, and domestic water plumbing.

The electrical and control systems are built to N+2 redundancy, incorporating two 1200A main switchgears with PLC controls, two 1000kW generators, ten VFDs, dual transfer switches, UPS systems, and distribution panels. Three control panels with redundant PLCs, flow meters and instrumentation and associated sitework and utility piping are also part of the scope.

MEB is committed to delivering this project on time and to the highest standards. Stay tuned for updates as we progress toward successful completion!
