MEB is modernizing the City of Richmond’s Thickening and Dewatering facilities to support dependable wastewater treatment for the community. Upgrades include new equipment, systems, and temporary operations to ensure uninterrupted service while the facilities are improved for long-term performance.

Project Details

Major upgrades to the City of Richmond’s existing Thickening & Dewatering. The Thickening Facility will be upgraded with a new electrical building, controls, four centrifuges, and four sludge pumps. The Dewatering Facility will be taken offline in its entirety during its upgrade requiring MEB to install a temporary dewatering facility to treat the Plant’s flow. MEB will remove & upgrade the existing electrical service, process piping, screw & belt conveyor system, polymer system, bridge crane, and dewatering centrifuges.
