Trip Smith
One of my proudest accomplishments at MEB is our work at the Virginia Beach Sports Center. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to finish a project for a client early, under budget, without sacrificing quality or their vision. It’s a reflection of listening to the client, detailed planning, and implementing consistent project control tools.
Trip Smith joined MEB in 2007, he now serves as a Project Executive with a focus on design-build projects. After graduating from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, he gained valuable experience managing large-scale construction projects prior to joining our team. Here he manages teams on multiple projects simultaneously.
Trip has been a part of many large successful projects such as the award-winning Virginia Beach Sports Center, Ocean Beach Club, and many others. As a certified Design-Build Professional (DBIA), Trip specializes in our design-build projects. He is heavily involved in the industry as a Board Member of Associated General Contractors (AGC) and 2021 Chairman of the Board AGC of Virginia, and a past president of the AGC Tidewater District. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional as well as a member of the US Green Building Council.
