Nate currently works on the P678 Dry Dock 8 project at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, where he’s been recognized by his supervisor and team as someone who is dependable, leads by example, and is a solid team member. “He consistently shows the type of leadership MEB looks for in its field leaders,” Superintendent Dominique Knight said.
Nate joined MEB in 2019, and since then he has continued to grow in his role and has become more confident and reliable in the field. He’s taken on more responsibility over time and shows a stronger understanding of how his work impacts the overall job.
Nate supports everyone around him to do their best work. When asked about a moment that stood out during his time here, he shared, “One of the moments I’m really proud of is when my entire crew worked long, hard hours, rain or shine, to complete a critical concrete placement on a really tight schedule. The teamwork and dedication they all showed was truly remarkable.”
Reflecting on his past six years, Nate said, “What makes MEB special to me is the engagement they have with employees. They encourage everyone to voice what matters most to them and commit to making change when necessary.”
