MEB attended the Virginia Aquarium’s Dedication Ceremony for the South Building & Veterinary Care Center on January 11th.

We were the contractor for the expansion and renovation, including a new otter exhibit, jellyfish gallery, a science-based play area, an observable veterinary care center, and a water quality lab. Additionally, there are educational spaces and an outdoor amphitheater, which will be a great space for outdoor programs and entertainment.

Present at the event were Virginia Beach Mayor Robert M. Dyer, City Manager Patrick A. Duhaney, donors, members of the project team, and other community representatives.

The South Building opened to the public on January 14th. We are excited for the community to enjoy the new and improved space!
