MEB’s environmental/resiliency portfolio continues to grow!

MEB is honored to have been awarded the contract for Dry Dock Flood Protection Improvements at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) in Portsmouth, Virginia. This large project is our 3rd for NNSY and we are thrilled to serve NAVFAC and the Navy again.

The scope includes constructing a permanent cast-in-place concrete flood wall to protect Dry Docks 1, 2, 3, and 4, modifications to Dry Docks 1 and 3 caisson gunwales, and caisson seat extensions for Dry Docks 1, 2, and 3. These improvements will resolve flooding issues for the Shipyard, reducing disruptions to critical operations.

MEB is excited to complete another project that addresses sea level rise and flooding, protecting our community, businesses, and natural resources.
