We are excited to announce that Governor Ralph Northam has recognized the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Regional Sewer Authority (HRRSA) Enhanced Biosolids Reuse and Reduction Project as a gold medal winner of the Governor’s Environmental Excellence Award. This award recognizes innovative projects that improve Virginia’s environment. This recently completed project increases the quality of biosolids through thermal drying fueled by recovered heat and biogas to reduce hauling and increase disposal options.
