Replacement of the existing HRSD Bridge Street Pump Station that had met its facility life expectancy. The project ensures that Downtown Hampton and surrounding communities have advanced sanitary water distribution services. The new pump station received state-wide recognition for quality and importance.

Project Details

This project consisted of the replacement of a wastewater pump station in Hampton, Virginia. This included gravity sewer, force main, and associated trade work. MEB was responsible for furnishing and installing all support systems, including but not limited to; utilities, HVAC, generator, diesel fuel dispensing system, pumping equipment, and odor control equipment, electrical instrumentation, and controls. The project included the demolition of the existing pump station, existing pile foundation, temporary by-pass pumping, line stops, and flow diversions.  The project required pile supported foundation in a 70’ x 90’ x 30’ deep excavation, with appropriate sheet piling, whaler supports, and dewatering.
