Project Details

This project includes construction of a new Jet Fuel Tanker Truck Delivery Facility. The system will be capable of receiving 1,600 GPM while simultaneously issuing 2,400 GPM of jet fuel to R-11 military fuel tanker trucks. Four truck offload positions and four truck fillstands were constructed. The new 4,930 SF Pumphouse includes four 600 GPM fuel pumps, four 600 GPM issue filter-separators and two 1,200 GPM receipt filter separators. The pumphouse will supply fuel to a constant pressure hydrant loop feeding the new fillstand positions. A 39’ x 44’ x 16.5’ deep underground concrete vault was constructed to house two 10,000 gallon offload drop tanks with four 400 GPM transfer pumps. Nozzles, alarms, water draw offs, pan orientation, and ATGs were modified on five existing above ground fuel storage tanks to support new tank issue and receipt piping to the new fueling facility.  A new product recovery tank and contaminated water storage tank was installed as well. Extensive above and below grade fuel piping was installed throughout the tank farm. Existing concrete and asphalt paving was demolished and replaced with 64,283 SF of 8” portland cement concrete paving. Five parking positions were provided for R-11 refueler trucks. Underground utilities include demolition and replacement of containment drainage systems, storm drain, sanitary sewer, water and fire protection.
