On May 16th, we paused work at the Boat Harbor Treatment Plant Pump Station Conversion project to celebrate a major milestone in the project.
MEB hosted a “Bottoming Out” party to celebrate the completion of the Intermediate Pump Station excavation and subgrade preparation. This is a 40’ deep excavation and a critical milestone for the project.
The celebration aimed to show our appreciation to everyone involved for all of the hard work to get to this point! We had a catered lunch and a raffle, followed by site tours led by Project Superintendent Tristan Profett, Project Engineer Morgan Oyler, and Senior Project Manager Matt Donhauser.
A special thank you to HRSD (owner), RK&K (engineer), AECOM (program manager), the MEB field team, and the subcontractors, including Higgerson Contractors, Garbarino Construction, D.W. Koreza, Inc., Griffin Dewatering, Industrial Alloy, and Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, who have helped us reach this milestone.
Next up for the project team is the Intermediate Pump Station Mat Slab Placement.
