The MEB crew at the HRSD Nansemond Treatment Plant Advanced Nutrient Reduction Improvements – Phase 2 recently visited YMCA Camp Grom to complete a series of improvement projects at the local campground, helping restore and maintain recreational areas used by campers, families, and visitors throughout the year.
The work addressed several areas across the property, with a focus on safety, accessibility, and preserving campground amenities. The work included cleaning trellises, pressure washing the exterior of the gym entrance, restoring wood curbing and filling erosion around the fishing dock, repairing sections of damaged concrete sidewalk, and renewing facia boards.
Samantha Smith, Executive Director of YMCA at JT’s Camp Grom, shared her appreciation for the team, “I can’t thank MEB enough for all of the hard work and improvements they did.”
